Customers installing new highly-efficient air conditioning systems in NSW are often eligible to create Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs) and/or Peak Demand Reduction Certificates (PRCs). The certificates can be sold to energy retailers and provides a financial incentive for customers to choose higher-efficiency models. This page is designed to help installers of air conditioning units participate in the NSW Energy Savings Scheme.

Section 1 – Understand the Energy Savings Scheme and How it Works
The NSW Energy Savings Scheme helps households and businesses install energy efficient equipment to save energy, help the environment and reduce peak demand on the electricity network. Demand Manager has been one of the largest creators of ESCs and PRCs in our 18 year history, working across a range of industries to help grow the industry. Section 2 – Calculate the Eligible Certificates
The exact value of the incentive will depend on several factors including the make/model of the air conditioner installed, the suburb of installation, whether it is a new or replacement system, the customer type, the market price of certificates and Demand Manager’s processing fee. Section 3 – Onboarding Your Company with Demand Manager
In order to work with your company, Demand Manager needs to ensure you are correctly trained, licenced and insured. Section 4 – Determine the Evidence Requirements of the Energy Savings Scheme
The creation of ESCs and PRCs comes with a responsibility to ensure the project has been implemented correctly. The below documentation outlines the Evidence Requirements that are required for Demand Manager to create certificates. Note also that Demand Manager uses a range of other means to ensure full compliance with the ESS including phone calls, site visits and product testing.

The Energy Savings Scheme requires a series of forms to be completed by the installer, the customer and Demand Manager to help ensure the integrity of the Scheme. Below are the mandatory forms that must be completed for each installation:
