LightWork Commercial 2.0.4 – Released 13/07/2022

LightWork Commercial Lighting  – V1.10.2 – Released 15 March 2021

LightWork Residential Android 2.3.10 has been released to the Play Store – 15/03/2021

LightWork Residential 2.3.9 – 22 February  2021

– Fixed upload of photos in the background when taken offline. Photos are now queued behind the scenes if the device is offline and will upload when a network reconnects.

Note: All photos are checked when the job is submitted, and those missing will be uploaded. For current jobs missing photos, please resubmit the job and all photos will be uploaded.

LightWork Commercial Lighting Version 1.10.0 –  released 1 February 2021

LightWork Solar 1.3.0 is now available to customers. Version 1.3.0 (19/12/2020):

– Removed the wizard ‘stepper’ and replaced it with a Master/ Detail view to allow users to navigate jobs more effectively

LightWork Residential Android – Version 2.3.7 is available through the play store Released 17 November 2020.

LightWork Residential Web  – Version 1.2.3 has also been deployed. Please do a Shift-Refresh if you don’t see 1.2.3 at the bottom of the main screen.

• Assigning users has been fixed. Only users with the Assign User permission can allocate a job to another user using the Assign User menu in the Android App, or via the web portal. All other users will see this menu disabled.
• The bug selecting the first user in the assign users list has been fixed.
  Note: Some jobs may revert to their owner as the assignee due to this update. Project / Admin staff can go back into these jobs and reassign them to the correct installer. This should not impact Demand Jobs, but may impact our customers.
• Residential Activity list has had some performance improvements. Searching and viewing jobs should be much faster for users with access to many jobs.
• Residential Activities have been restricted on Android to Company only. I.e. Admins, project officers and developers cannot see the entire list of Activities across the platform. This has been done for performance and security.

LightWork Commercial Lighting – Version 1.9.15  Released 26 October 2020:

– Restore Job crash fix. Restore job now searches jobs in the cloud rather than downloading your entire job list, making search much faster and more stable

– Restore Job search by Job Id, Client Name or Site Name

– Copied jobs now contain a copy of all photos from the original job

– Copied jobs can be deleted without affecting the original job

– Fixed VEU Assignment Form electrician details appearing in the wrong order on PDF forms

 

LightWork Residential – Version 2.3.6 Released 22 October 2020:

– Users can now assign jobs to other staff (E.g. Admin staff can assign a job to an Installer to see on their device).

– Fixed bug in 21A where VEU have changed the efficacy and rated hrs columns in the register

LightWork Commercial Lighting – Version 1.9.14 Released 25 September 2020:

LightWork Residential – Version 1.2.1.4 Released 25 September 2020:

• For all Activities and Audits you can now add a new job and fill out customer details through the web portal as in step 1 of Residential Android App.
• SA Audits and SA Activities – A Batch Operation facility has been added which allows you to download a list of addresses for a batch to be checked within REES Portal, the returned file can be used to automatically fill in Address Declaration details and generate the BUT.
• Minor fixes including view / edit activity permissions and a new address template across the combined platform.

Coming soon:

• Address check for web. Search for duplicate addresses to ensure the job hasn’t been completed within Demand Manager previously
• Installer assigning on web and Android. Start a new job as an admin / back of house staff and assign it to an individual installer / assessor

LightWork Solar – Version 1.2.1.3  Released 22 September 2020:

• Updated from the old 1.1.7 portal
• Multi select CSV. Select Multiple jobs with any status and download a bulk CSV for REC Registry upload / export jobs
• Download PDF for any job. Right-click any job and generate the report at any time, not only when the job has been submitted.

Important: Any user on Android KitKat 4.4 and below will need to upgrade their tablet / phone. Our cloud services no longer support Android 4.4 due to security vulnerabilities and cryptography certificates expiring. These old versions have not been maintained for 6 years.

LightWork Job Downloader v10.9.0 has been released –  30 March 2020

Note: Users may not see some jobs created this week until they update their app. Some Jobs may not be visible until we assign them to Demand Manager. If there are any issues please let me know.

• Company level access and permissions. Jobs are separated by AP / ACP and installers can only see their jobs.
• Payment screen for stripe payments for users not in a current certificate based agreement.
• Tech register that can be easily updated for VIC (upload xls from VIC portal).

• Evidence can be downloaded in a zip file for easy archiving and submission to the VEU.

LightWork Version 1.9.0 – Released 4 June 2019

Changes:

• Brand new ‘News’ feature. Look out for up and coming blog articles on scheme changes, industry news and exciting new features in LightWork.
• Main screen update. New layout to allow more features to be published in the future.
• NSW (ESS) 1000W MH/MV bulbs warning and override implemented for use cases that require higher than the standard 400/450 W cap.

LightWork Version 1.8.3 Released 13 May 2019.

The major change is that LightWork now uses new server infrastructure. All jobs should be submitted / saved to cloud using this version of the app as the previous version (1.8.2.1 and previous) will cease to provide cloud access as of the 15^th of May 2019.

Major Change:

– Changed the server address that LightWork cloud services uses.

– All future work should be done and uploaded using this version of LightWork as previous versions will be unsupported as of 15/05/2019

Residential Activities – Version 2.1.0 Released 05 April 2019

We have just released a new app for Residential Activities. This new feature allows Installers / Assessors to conduct REES Residential Activities.

Features Include:

– Collect required information for each activity

– Multiple activities can be conducted at the same site

– Collect geo-tagged photographic evidence to support the claim

– Customer and Installer compliance sign-off

Minor Changes:

– Bug fixes for Residential Audits

– Formatting changes on the Audit Reports

We expect coverage to shortly cover VEEC and ESC residential activities.

 

Version 1.8.2 – 19 February 2019

Changes:

• Assignment of Rights Form updated to v1.1 Feb 2019. Officially comes into effect on March 7 2019.
• Average lux data validation rejection fixed
• Fixed auto save not working when moving shapes and leaving the drawing
• Other minor bug fixes.

Version 1.8.1.1 – 31 January 2019

Changes:

• Android 9.0 (Pie) crash when saving spaces fixed.
• RCPs are correctly generated on High Definition Tablets (e.g. Samsung Tab S Series, or Google Nexus). Please resave your drawings to fix any anomalies encountered during download.
• Average Lux error in Job status has been fixed.
• Other minor bug fixes.

Thanks to the APs/ACPs using LightWork for bringing these bugs to our attention. Apologies they were introduced with the previous upgrade to better support Android 8.0 and 9.0 (Oreo and Pie) devices.

 

LightWork Version 1.8.1 – Released 17 January 2019

Changes:

– Job List split into incomplete / complete to make finding current jobs easier

– Fixed bugs in Job List Sort and Search

– Spaces now auto save in the background. You may notice a notification (LightWork light bulb) appear while save is occurring

– Fixed crash when opening the camera from the Space Drawing section

– App built using Android Pie (9.0) for stability and security improvements

Job List

The Job list has been separated into completed and incomplete. Completed will contain Submitted Jobs, Jobs being Processed by the ACP/AP and those marked as Completed by the ACP. Incomplete will contain ‘To be Submitted’ Jobs and jobs that have been returned to the user for an RFI (Request for Information). Sorting and searching is performed on both lists.

Space Saving in the background

A lot of work has gone into allowing Space Drawings to be saved in the background while the user goes into another space, leaves the app, gets a call or simply turns off the display. This removes the block that made users wait for the save to complete before moving away from the drawing.

Note: Auto saving means any changes the user performs will be automatically applied to the drawing / RCP images if they move away from the screen. We feel that this is the preferred approach than losing work because the user forgets to hit save, or the app crashes in the background on newer tablets.

 

LightWork Version 1.8.0 – Released 13 December 2018

VIC VEU 10 Dec Update:

• New calculations are based on Upgrade Completion (activity) date
• Baseline and Upgrade unit change from MWh to Greenhouse Gas equivalent (GHG equiv.)
• New list of Space Types and associated operating hours
• Override of Storage operating hours from 5000 to that of the BCA Class
• New Lamp and Ballast combinations
  • Ballasts above B are now considered B only
  • Discount factors of May have been integrated into the LCP lamp and ballast calculations
• New Lamp Control Devices (Control Systems)
• New Asset Lifetime that cover both Baseline and Upgrade
• Quote Tool Updated with the calculation changes
• Job Updated with the calculation changes
• New Forms integrated

Forms:

• Note: New Forms will only present for new Jobs created from 10 Dec 2018 (i.e., touching the ‘+’ button to start a new Job in LightWork).
• AS 1680 layout has changed, however most of the content has stayed the same
• Assignment Form has changed dramatically. The order of several sections has changed and the content of each section has changed.
• Upgrade Data Summary is no longer required and will no longer be shown for Jobs created from 10 Dec
• MIT is no longer required. However, we are leaving it in as a document describing the recommended lamp replacement period and lamp depreciation factors is required.

Changing Activity Date on an existing Job / Quote

The following will have to be updated to recalculate the certificate numbers and complete the job:

• Lamp Type and ballast Type. New VIC Changes mean lamp and ballast types may have changed slightly to match the VEU Portal. Please make sure to reselect the corresponding values in each tech and space.
• Asset Lifetime changes – Asset Lifetime will have to be selected in the space details section for every space
• Control Systems – names have changed as above
• Space Type – Space Type names may have changed slightly to match the VEU Portal.

Issues relating to VEEC Update

• Assignment Form: Luminaire (fixture) numbers will be the same as lamp numbers at present. You may need to override the figures in the pdf for fixtures with multiple lamps.
• Voltage Reduction Units (VRU) control equipment are unavailable in a Job at present.
• At this point in time, ‘Retrofit’ and ‘Other’ are unavailable in LightWork. We have surveyed most APs using LightWork and with the scheme changes there is a shift toward Luminaire Replacement (Light Fixture Replacement) and thus these may not be required. We are working on adding the rated Lifetime hrs to the Space Drawing section of the app.
• Asset lifetime (Type of Upgrade) as moved from individual tech to the Space Details so that it applies to the entire space. We have consulted with some AP’s who have suggested that it would be very rare to combine different types of asset lifetimes in one space. A work around at the moment is to make copies of the space and change the Asset lifetime of each copy.
• Quote to Job may not perform optimally (SA/NSW not affected). Some asset lifetimes may not copy across into the job. Please check over your spaces and technologies for any errors and update the asset lifetimes accordingly.
• We have tabled the above as ongoing features for LightWork development. Please feel free to contact Demand manager if you would like to see any of these issues escalated.

 

LightWork Version 1.7.1 – Released 13 November 2018

• 1 November 2018 ESS/REES Rule Changes have been implemented
• NSW: All new and existing Jobs will use the new 1 November calculations
• SA: The rule change is based on implementation date
• Lux Level report includes Australian Standard Lux levels and Recommended Lux levels incorporating depreciation factors
• Minor changes to the CCEW form

1 November 2018 Rule changes:

• Calculations updated in accordance with CLCT 7.1 and the ESS Rule
• The Evidence Pack and Fact Sheet have been updated
• MH / MV  Maximum wattage cap has been introduced to LightWork
• Occupancy Sensors 2 can be used with Maintained Emergency in Carparks of BCA Class xxx
• Space groupings and regional / metro factors to determine maximum asset lifetimes have been introduced

LightWork Version 1.7.0 – Released 18 September 2018

 

Major Changes:

• Split Evidence into three new sections. Evidence, Space Technology and Space Photos
  • Space technology provides Lamp and Ballast sections when necessary. E.g. T8 B2 will display a ballast, whereas Tungsten Halogen with no ballast won’t display this section
  • Space photos has a section to capture photos of Air Conditioning. E.g. AC Vents and AC compressor / refrigeration units.
  • Evidence contains all other documented evidences such as Tax invoice and paper based CCEW as well as building façade images
• Images can be moved anywhere in the app. Details below.
• Deleted images are archived and no longer deleted. Ask your ACP for assistance in accessing deleted images.
• Space Technology Photos are now grouped by Lamp Type, Ballast Type and Wattage

Minor Changes:

• Missing bulb lifetime displaying in Job Status has been fixed.
• Fixed many of the crashes in the app when moving between screens or away from calculations (e.g. Job Progress).

Move Images

Any photo within LightWork can be moved by long pressing the image (touch the image and hold). Select ‘Move Image’. You will be prompted where you would like to move the image. Choose between Evidence, Before / After Technology or Space Photos. Each Item will have a sub category where appropriate. E.g. ‘Ballast Photos’ for a lamp having a ballast, or ‘AC Photos’ for a space with AC selected. Note, photos can only be moved within a Job and not between Jobs.

Along with this change, the Before and After Tech in the Space drawing has changed slightly and will no longer ask ‘Do you wish to move photos to others’. Instead the same long press applies and you can move photos anywhere. The After tech will still ask if you wish to move photos if you change, e.g., e a ballast or wattage.

 Archived Photos

Photos can be deleted by users at any time. We have received several requests to retrieve deleted photos so we have implemented an archiving feature. Deleted photos will be archived and can be retrieved with the assistance of your AP/ACP.

 Space Technology Wattage

We have received several requests for technology photos to be grouped by wattage so their photos can be clearly identified (e.g. T8 36W vs T8 60W). Each Non-ELT Technology (Before and After Tech) now has the wattage associated with it. You will now see Space technology photos divided by Lamp Type, ballast Type and Wattage for Non-ELT and Brand, Model number and wattage for ELTs. For existing Jobs you may see duplicate technologies appear, or photos may appear missing in the space drawings section of the app. Please go into each technology type and move the photos to the appropriate Lamp and Ballast position. For example:

A user has an existing Job with T8 –  B1 36 W bulbs and T8 – B1 60 W bulbs. In the past all photos would be under the T8 – B1 category. Now the user sees the following:

T8 – B1

T8 – B1 – 36 W

T8 – B1 – 60 W

The user will move photos from T8-B1 to T8 – B1 36 W, and those related to the 60W bulbs into the T8 – B1 – 60 W tech. Once this operation is performed, the original T8 – B1 will disappear, all errors will disappear, and the user can submit the job.

LightWork Version 1.6.12 – Released 20 August 18

Major Change:

• ESS Rule changes scheduled for 1 Nov 2018 have been integrated into LightWork.
• New Create Job dialog pop up to collect critical information for these changes (Site Name, Scheme, Implementation Date / Activity Date and Postcode).
• Quote Tool and Job sections updated with 1 Nov 2018 calculations. See the information below.

Minor Changes:

• Fixed a crash when returning to a job on the mobile version of the app.
• Fixed a crash when browsing the Energy Savings screen when one space is missing tech.
• Fixed a crash when deleting a job.
• Fixed a crash on Android 4.4 KitKat devices where the camera app would stop when trying to take a photo in LightWork.

ESS Rule Changes

Please refer to previous emails for specifics on the rule changes. Briefly, the changes involve caps for Metal Halide and Mercury Vapour Wattages that can be claimed (400 W / 450 W dependant on the selected ballast), and a new Building / Space Group to determine the Asset Lifetime that can be claimed. This new Asset Lifetime is based on Space Type, BCA Class and region (postcode).

LightWork has been upgraded to use the new Building / Space Group for all Quotes and Jobs with an Activity Date of 1 Nov 2018 and later.

Note: At present the CLCT has not been released with these changes, so any certificate calculations for post 1 Nov 2018 jobs may be subject to change.

At present these changes also apply to the SA REES Scheme. This may be subject to change between now and 1 Nov 2018.

Other matters

We are aware of a crash affecting some users when taking photos in the Space Drawing section of the app. While we attend to this issue, please avoid taking photos in this section and use the Evidence Screen on the main Job page.  We have seen a large number of crashes when users are submitting jobs, saving to the cloud, or loading from the cloud. This typically occurs when users navigate to another job or out of LightWork while the upload / download takes place. Please be patient and wait for the process to complete (especially submissions). Our developers are investigating ways to improve the submission process so this wait time can be reduced or eliminated.

LightWork – Version 1.6.11 has been released – 6 August 2018

Light Reading Details Specifics

We are now attaching the light meter settings to the job. As many of our clients have multiple parties and light meters, these details were changing as the job was sent from person to person. To keep the light meter details consistent across the job we have added a new section under Job Details for you to input the details of the light meter used on a particular Job. You can copy your light meter details across into a job by pressing the ‘Copy From Settings’ button in the Light Meter Details portion of the Job, new Jobs will automatically copy the light meter details of the user who created it.

Some users used obscure date formats when entering the calibration date, e.g., dd.mm.yy which makes it difficult for the app to interpret. We have standardised the date formats across the app. As a result, some calibration date may change, e.g., 01/03/14 may now be read as 01/03/0014. Please double check your meter(s) calibration date(s).

Please note that the calibration date is a mandatory field and must be no older than 12 months prior to the Implementation / Activity Date so all existing jobs will need to be updated prior to submission.

 

LightWork Job Downloader 10.6 has been released – 20 July 2018

Note: 64-bit Java is required to use this version. If the app stalls generating the CLCT or BUT, please make sure you are running Java 64-bit.

Changes:

• Optimisations in downloading files. We have seen between 4 – 8x increase in speed downloading files in this release. Those running a high end processor (e.g. 8 core i7, 4 core i5) will see a significant speed boost.
• Downloaded files are now split into categories. We feel that this will improve back end processing time as searching and sorting files will be reduced.
  The new structure is as follows:

  • Evidence – Evidence collected and split into individual folders

Note: Please be careful when downloading to an existing directory. Since the file structure has changed, the old ‘Images’ folder with all the previous downloaded files will be retained. We suggest downloading to a fresh folder to avoid any confusion.

LightWork Residential 1.0.9 has been released to the play store.

Changes:

– Photos taken in the app are now geo-tagged and date stamped. The same rules from LW regarding location updates apply to LWR.

– A client copy and the original audit report are generated ready for mail out / email

We realised a pain point for APs/ACPs in processing Jobs through LightWork is the ability for clients to make changes to a job after it has been submitted and the lack of notification to the AP/ACP that the Job has changed. We have also seen the number of submission cycles between a client and AP/ACP increasingly being between 5 and 10 and in some cases closer to 15. As a first step to combat this issue we feel that its best to give the AP/ACP the ability to control the Job unlocking as well as informing users of the current state of their jobs. We hope that users will adjust to the new style of processing Jobs and error free jobs will be seen with fewer submission cycles.

New Job States:

Job in progress: This project is still in progress and has not yet been submitted to an ACP / AP for paperwork review.

Submitted: You feel that this job is now complete and have submitted it to your AP / ACP of choice who has been notified this project is ready for its initial compliance review.

Processing: Your AP / ACP of choice has picked up this project and it is currently under paperwork review. From here the project will move to Request For Information (RFI) if changes are needed or if deemed all correct it will move to Quality Check (QC) where the paperwork will be reviewed by a second person to be sure nothing was inadvertently missed.

Request for Information (RFI): During the ACP / AP review process for this project something has been noticed and requires additional attention from you. Please respond to the comments and questions from your AP / ACP on this project and make the appropriate amendments.

The Job status will be updated when a user clicks on the job in the job list when there is an active internet connection. Alternatively you can press on the status icon to refresh the status at any time. The Information icon in the top right of the status will display a description of the current status.

Jobs are only editable (unlocked) when they have not been submitted (Job in progress), or have been returned to the customer in the RFI state.

Version 1.6.5 – Released 6 February 2018

New Changes:

• New VEECs discount Factors have been implemented. Refer to the release from the ESC for details. The factors kick in from 1 Feb 18 and then change from 1 May 18.
• Added a fix for Space Tech not appearing in the Job Summary or forms list. The Jobs will fix themselves on download from the cloud to LightWork. The job can then be uploaded to the cloud again and all tech will be shown correctly.
• No changes required for IPART’s recently issued CLCT 6.4. LightWork already generates the correct ESC numbers.
• Occupancy Sensors 2 – 4 are now restricted by Space Type and BCA Class as per IPART’s CLCT.
• Occupancy Sensors 1 – 4 can only be selected for control system 1 and control 2 will be set to none and disabled.

Quote to Job

• Users still have to update spaces as details for lux readings and dimensions are not included on the quote.
• Update Job will appear if a job has already been created using the quote. Any changes in the quote will be copied into the job.

Version 1.6 – Released 20 July 2017

Major features:

• LightWork can now be used on an Android phone!   Many customers have been eagerly waiting for this day so hopefully this added functionality will assist taking photos or collecting data on site. (Might be a little tricky to draw floor plans on such a small screen but feel free to accept the challenge!).
• All operations in the existing tool can be used on a mobile however, we stress that the mobile version of the tool is in beta and some functions such as the Space Drawing facility may not perform optimally on a small device.   Please be careful about Version history when passing projects around.
• Certificate details have been revised to fall in line with the normal Job process of LightWork. The quote is divided into spaces to avoid the repeat entry of some information as well as formatting in the report. We aim to reduce double entering or handling of data at every point we possibly can.
• New screens that extend the certificate quotation to a fully costed quote.
• Cost details contains line items such as lamp supply cost, equipment costs, labour costs, payment terms and instalment plan to name a few.
• Savings details screen gives a breakdown of the energy savings over a 10-year period, simple payback terms, emissions reductions, and equivalent cars off the road to quantify the savings.
• New PDF generated quote with your company logo, and other attachments such as coversheets, tech specs and terms and conditions (An internet connection is required for creating the PDF copy of the quote).
• New Quote Settings screen that allows default costs, profit margins, payment terms and email templates to be entered. Please note, all details will be saved to the account specified on the main settings page.
• Based on customer feedback we are providing four templates to choose from. These can be found in Setting-> Quote Tool-> Templates.

 

Some housekeeping:

• Since this is major update to the way the quote tool operates old quotes will not display correctly in the new tool. As such the first time, you open the quote tool, the existing quotes will be backed up to the cloud. If you need to access any existing quotes please call Demand Manager and we will look into providing the details of the original quotes. Additionally, if you want to write down any ESC numbers for your quotes currently on the tablet before you update then you won’t need to contact us directly to get this data.

Version 1.5.0 – Released 1 June 2017

New Features:

• New Site Plan Mark-up tool to add a background site plan image to the drawing canvas and avoid having to re-draw a site that already has a plan. See details below.
• PDFs can be imported as a site plan on devices running Android Lollipop 5.0 and above. Prior versions of Android are restricted to Image files only.
• Mandatory landmark features are not required if you have a site plan as a background to a space.
• Forms are now viewable as a PDF once complete. Use ‘View PDF’ at the end of the form wizard to open the PDF copy.

Other Changes:

• Fixed crash when undo / redo of tech placement on the drawing.
• Minor fixes for the formatting of the Forms.
• Minor fixes in the Space Types for VIC Jobs.

How to use the new Site Plan Mark-up feature:

1. Create a new space and fill in space details as usual.
2. Click the new site plan mark-up at the bottom right of the tool list.
3. Select Capture image if you need to take a photo or select from existing files if you have a site plan captured or a copy of the site plan in the Evidence section.
4. If capturing an image run through the wizard to clean up the image and straighten the image if necessary.
5. Select the site plan you wish to use.
6. If you want to specify an area on a large site plan add a bounding box and add a label for that space (usually the space name).
7. Crop the site plan to the area you want to appear on the drawing and touch next.
8. On the scaling screen slide the bar until the approximate number of tech are displayed inside the cropped area -this will ensure the image is correctly scaled to work with later.
9. Touch complete and the site plan will appear in the background of the drawing.

Turning off snap to grid for site plans allows tech to be placed easier as the grid lines may not align with the plan as required.

Note: Any Site plans attached to a space will NOT be visible on a device running prior versions of LightWork.

Some issue we are working on: The tool bar hides the left side of the site plan for very large plans. Some tablets may have a scaling issue with site plans.  Quote tool is coming shortly.

Version 1.4.2 – Released 27 April 2017

• Changes mainly for NSW ESS.
• Air conditioner multiplier drops from 1.3 to 1.07.  This comes into effect on Jobs with an implementation date after 28^th April.
• New question for Data Centre / Refrigerated space in quote tool and in Space Details Dialog to claim 1.3 multiplier where eligible.
• The new AC multiplier will be applied to all quotes as of the release date. This includes current quotes if the user makes a change to it.
• BCA Multimode Control systems have been linked. Only BCAs of 2, 5, and 7a will have access to Occupancy Sensors 2 – 4.
• VEEC Space Type linked to Activity Date.
• Dimension check before submission. Users cannot submit a job if any space is missing dimensions. This is for already created jobs waiting submission as well.
• Landmarks check before submission. Users can’t submit a job unless they have at least two landmarks marked on each space drawing. Acceptable landmarks include Stairs, Windows, Doors, Lifts and/or identifying text.
• After tech photos have been turned on for NSW ESS Jobs to assist Demand Manager in identifying the correct Lamp and Driver manufacturer and model.

Other Changes:

• Minor changes to definitions of Space Types in all states.
• Audit Report updated to include Auto checklist.

Version 1.4.1 – Released 20 March 2017

Version 1.4.0 – Released 7 March 2017

Major Changes:

• New Forms Wizard. All forms have been structured to walk the user through one section at a time.  The new forms will be more transparent to the user and simpler to judge progress.
• Existing Jobs are not affected by the changes and will continue to have the old html version of the forms. Any new jobs created after 7 March 2017 will use the new form wizard as standard.
• Forms auto filled from the app. Most questions are pre-filled with data directly from the app thus saving time and preventing errors.
• Auto updating of forms. Forms such as EP2 (NSW) and Upgrade Data Summary (VIC) automatically update prior to submission or saving to the cloud.  This will overcome previous problems with version control.
• New Electronic CCEW available for NSW customers. The NSW Fair Trading CCEW Template is pre-filled with the relevant data from the app ready to be signed off – no need for paper CCEWs!
• Forms can be sent off the device to customers in PDF via email.
• New Training screen on the homepage showing user videos. Due to performance issues, the Chrome version now has a link to the videos on the training web page and will open in Chrome directly.  New videos will be added shortly.
• SA Activity record implemented to replace Authorisation Form, Customer Declaration and Installer Declaration.
• Wizard UI gets a facelift to support Retailer / Installer Changes below.
• Audit report ready for use by internal staff. Initially only accessible via the developer settings menu and pin code for Demand Manager staff, the audit report will eventually be opened up to users.

Retailer / Installer details changes:

• All users should run through the wizard to update their information to meet new requirements.
• Names have been split into first name and last name to better reflect the requirements of the ESC.
• Addresses have been updated to be more consistent across the app.
• Added qualification and licence expiry field for Installer to support new form engine – i.e. CCCEW.
• All users are advised to update their settings to maintain compliance.

Version 1.3 – Released 16 January 2017

Major Update

This update involves many changes to the job screens as detailed below.

Main Job Screen

Tabs have been removed along the top and a menu down the side. This allows us to introduce some new and exciting features in the future.

Job Details – Screen is now divided into sections and each section will show a green tick when completed.

Space List – new look space list. Spaces can be copied and deleted in bulk by selecting “Edit Spaces”.

Job Status – data validation has been moved to the front of the job to clearly display what information is required to submit a job.

Job Feedback – this feature has been retired in favour of the existing comments screen.

Job Tasks – this screen has been retired. Save, Load, export as excel have all been moved to the top right menu on the Job Summary page.

Submitting Jobs:

• The submit Job button has been moved to the bottom of the Job Status page. This allows users to validate the job more easily and submit.
• Jobs can only be submitted if they reach at least 50% progress. This figure will be increased over time. If you need to submit a job that has lower than 50% completion, please contact Demand Manager.

About Screen:

• New layout of the about screen (available from top right menu on the main screen, or menu button on older tablets).
• New feedback and bug report submission options.

Evidence:

• Evidence can now be attached directly to a job. Items such as PDF documents can be attached.
• The Chrome version can attach files from the desktop. Simply click Attach File under an Evidence, choose Open File, and navigate to the file you wish to attach.
• Android can also attach files from the gallery and elsewhere on the device.
• Note: This is NOT intended to replace capturing photos through the app where a geo-tagged photo is required.

Minor fixes:

• Adjustments to the Job summary page for larger jobs.
• Adjustments for PIXI 7 Tablets.

Major update to the app released to the play store.  Demand Manager is proud to be releasing v 1.0.0 of the LIGHTWORK App to the App store. Thank you to all of our beta testers who gave valuable feedback and reported crashes.

Major Updates

-          Rebranding of the App to LIGHTWORK.

-          A new Certificate Quote Tool is now available from the main screen.

-          The tool allows the calculation of the total certificates for NSW and VIC jobs (ESCs and VEECs respectively), and energy savings (GJ) for SA.

-          Co-payment calculation is available for NSW ESC quotes.

-          Regional factors for NSW and VIC have been included in the calculations.

 Minor Updates

-          Assignment of Rights form for VEEC now allows Electricians to sign in place of the CoES.

-          Unknown Ballast types are now available for all jobs.

-          Fix for the number of lux readings required for a particular space.

-          Minor bug fixes.

NSW users:

• The Assignment of Rights form has been updated effective 15/5/16.
• Minor bug fixes.

Existing jobs will be unaffected by the changes. New NSW jobs will use the forms post April 15. The decommissioning evidence will come into effect automatically on the 15^th May.

VIC will not see a change until 15 May for a new Assignment of Rights form.

Drawing Upgrades

New help screen

– A help screen for all the new drawing functionality will display the first time you open a space. You can hide the screen by selection “Don’t show this dialog again”. It can be accessed again at any time through the menu icon (three dots in the top right corner).

Pan and Zoom

– Two finger pinch for zoom and swipe for translate has been added. Drawings can now be 4x the size of the originals (Approx. A3 when printed).

– Some drawings may seem to disappear. Try zooming out or hitting the fit to screen button for the drawing to reappear.

– Existing drawings are located in the top left corner of the canvas. A new drawing view will start in the middle of the canvas, allowing you to draw expand in any direction.

– There are three manual buttons (zoom in and out) to allow zoom and pan (the hand icon) for those unfamiliar with the pinch and two finger swipe as well as for chrome users to use.

– Fit to screen (Magnifier with the square in it): This will zoom out or in, displaying the entire drawing on the screen.

– Origin button will return the screen to the middle of the drawing canvas.

– North pointer button. Some drawings may have missing North pointers, click this button to locate, or return the North pointer to the origin.

New Tools

– Control Equipment grouping – when lights and their associated control needs grouping together. Only visible on the tech drawing.

– Fire Stairs – template for typical fire stairs. It can be rotated to change the stair orientation.

– Lift – A lift icon is now available to aid users identifying a lift as a landmark.

– Freehand wall tool – You can now draw complex walls using the freehand tool. Select the tool and touch and drag where you want to place a curve. The tool will generate a smooth curve following your finger.

South Australian REES

– The South Australian Retailer Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES) has been implemented in the app.

– All forms relating to the scheme have been implemented.

– A SA Technology List has been implemented combining Victorian and NSW technologies according to the scheme.

Latest Broker Price

The latest ESC and VEEC prices are displayed on the home page of the app. These are updated each time the app is opened, or can be manually refreshed using the refresh button to the side of the list.  Note these prices are based only on trades reported by brokers, so may not include all trades occurring in the market.
