IPART announced that commercial lighting projects for which ESC are created from 9 December 2013 onward it will be a requirement to collect logged data to support claims for Extended Operating Hours (EOH) where no other supporting evidence is available.
While this is applicable to all sites where EOH are being claimed, this will be particularly relevant to projects for where 8,760 hours per year are claimed such as Strata buildings and other unmanned sites like car parks.
Please note that:
- A photocopy of a BCA or other regulatory requirement will no longer be considered on its own as evidence that the lighting at a particular site operates 24 hours a day;
- An End User declaration is required with all EOH claims in addition to supporting evidence. The declaration itself will not be considered as supporting evidence.
