Low Carbon Communities Program
The Federal Government’s extended Low Carbon Communities Program will provide $200 million to support local Council and community organisations to cut pollution, and reduce energy costs through energy efficiency upgrades. The Program will be administered by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency.
The consultation period for the program closed on 21 October 2011. The Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency is currently considering submitted stakeholder comments on program design. It is anticipated that program guidelines for both programs will be released in early 2012.
